In the event of a preschool or playschool seeking to alter a part of its constitution; for example: membership eligibility or criteria, or the association's aims or objectives, the Office of Regulatory Services states: "An association may alter its rules, objects and purposes by a special
resolution. If an association resolves to alter its rules, objects or
purposes, it must notify the ORS using Form
A8 "Alteration of Objects, Purposes or Rules".
The form must be lodged within one month of the date that the special
resolution was passed. The form must be signed by two current
committee members and be accompanied by the prescribed fee. In addition
to the form, associations must lodge a copy of the revised rules. If
the changes to the rules are valid under the Act the ORS will accept the
changes and the new rules will form part of the public record of the
association ." |
