Assisting with Grant Applications

Parent Associations have found that applying for grants to be a tiresome and complicated business. However, when achieved successfully, the grants have contributed enormously to the quality of the preschool environment for our children.

Types of Grants

GrantsLINK

Volunteers Small Equipment Grant (VSEG)
Telstra's Kids Fund

Telstra's Kids Fund is a contemporary expression of Telstra's tradition of helping local communities.  If you are a permanent Telstra Group employee - you can apply for a grant of $1,200 to support a project or activity run by a not-for-profit organisation involving a child, aged 18 years or under, in your immediate family.

Telstra's Kids Fund supports a broad range of initiatives and projects including education, sports and recreation, arts and culture, environment, social issues and diability programs.

Community Heritage Grants

This may be of interest to our older, established preschool communities - that still have intact archival materials ...

The Community Heritage Grants (CHG) Program aims to preserve and provide access to locally held, nationally significant cultural heritage collections across Australia. The program provides grant funding of up to $15 000 for preservation projects and preservation and collection management training through community based workshops.

Living in Harmony

Look at these programs:
Community relations funding is available to help incorporated not for profit organisations address issues of cultural, racial and religious intolerance. Projects should target all people living in a community or local government area and promote respect, fairness, inclusion and a sense of belonging for everyone.
Living in Harmony Partnerships program the Australian Government establishes partnerships with peak bodies and national organisations to work together to address issues on a regional or national scale, to promote Australian values, mutual respect and particpation.
Emerging Priorities Program enables the Australian Government to support community responses to issues that emerge outside the annual application round for funded community projects. The Emerging Priorities Program allows for greater flexibility in tackling community relations issues as they arise.
