Being a Member of a Parent Association

When you accept an offer of place at an ACT Preschool - your child is enrolled.

Upon enrolment, your family is automatically accorded memberhip of your chosen ACT Preschool Parent Association.

Preschool is a busy and exciting place. There is always lots of things happening and some wonderful people to meet.

Getting in touch with your chosen Preschool Parent Association - means that the place is not so "new" at the beginning of the year. The opportunity to meet and talk to the Preschool teaching staff, other parents and find out about the other "happenings" that come with the Preschool year is a good way to prepare you and your child for the preschool year.

Often there are playgroups, playschools and parent's interest groups that operate from the Preschool premises and through activating your Preschool Parent Association membership after you accept your offer of place - means you are able to get connected with these wonderful opportunities.

Your soon-to-be-preschooler will also benefit from the opportunity to explore the wonderful learning environment of their preschool! Often, towards the end of the year there will be a social function that will to bring all the new families together - for your child this is the perfect informal and gentle opportunity to meet their soon-to-be-preschool pals!
